How to use

The MS7800 Patient Transfer Scale can be used in the same way as a transfer board. It's lightweight, making it easy for nurses to take the MS7800 anywhere it's needed. Place it across the stretcher and bed, and move the patient in accordance with standard transfer procedure. All you need to do is pause for a few seconds as they pass over the transfer board to record the weight measurement.

It doesn't just make weighing easier – it makes weighing part of an already existing process, meaning little additional training is needed!

  • Step 1: Before using the PTS, ensure that trolley/bed are at same height, and that wheels are safely locked. Place slide sheet on PTS before turning it on.

  • Step 2: Roll patient onto their side, and push PTS so it sits between the trolley/bed under the Patient’s spine/hips.

  • Step 3: Roll patient onto PTS, and record the patient’s height and weight. To ensure accuracy, staff should not be touching patient or PTS

  • Step 4: Carefully slide the Patient Transfer Scale out from under the patient. Use slide sheet to pull patient onto bed

  • Step 5: Help patient onto their side, and carefully pull slide sheet out from under patient

  • Step 6: After measurement completion, patient can be removed from PTS.
